Frances Ridley Havergal
In Morning Bells, a child is
encouraged to begin his day with a "morning bell," a devotional reading
of Scripture to encourage his heart to live for Jesus that day. The
bells inspire godly living in the youngest of believers and give
practical direction to their footsteps.
Morning Bells, by Frances Ridley Havergal, made its first debut in 1875 as Waking Thoughts for the Little Ones.
This jewel of a book has been reprinted for young children today. The
thoughts presented in this little book are permeated with Scriptures
which were so much a part of the author’s life.
Morning Bells is intended to waken up little hearts and remind them that we must walk with Jesus throughout our day.
Each devotion emphasizes
basic Biblical lessons in an understandable way. A related Bible verse,
story, and quotation from a hymn are part of each devotion.
