CARD 1: A Message of Comfort
And God shall wipe
away all tears
from their eyes.
Revelation 21:4

Inside Card 1:
"Jesus wept," though God Almighty,
Yet He wept as Son of Man,
Sympathizing with the Sorr'wing
Only as the God-man can.
And His people's hearts bleed with you,
Lift you oft to heaven's throne;
For, as God, Christ's there to aid you,
Never leaves His child alone.

The LORD is gracious
and full of compassion.
Psalm 111:4

CARD 2: God Walks with You
Yea, though I walk
through the valley . . .
I will fear no evil:
for thou
art with me.
Psalm 23:4

Inside Card 2:
Weeping, hearts that ache intensely -
These will for a night endure;
May our God, the Source of comfort,
Hold you in His arms secure.
Then the morning! Hopeful dawning -
Joy will break on heaven's shore:
Sorrows ever, bliss unending,
No farewells forevermore.

Weeping may endure
for a night,
but joy cometh
in the morning.

CARD 3: With Heartfelt Sympathy
The LORD will perfect
that which concerneth me.
Psalm 138:8

Inside Card 3:
How keenly we feel losses
When death claims those we love,
And yet our grief's not hopeless -
We'll meet the saved above.
Envision them in glory,
Forever with the Lord;
We comfort one another
With God's abiding Word.

There shall
be no more death,
neither sorrow,
nor crying.

CARD 4: Prayerful Thoughts
Are With You
I will never leave thee,
nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5

Inside Card 4:
Why do we call it dying?
It's richest, fullest life -
Life free of sickness, struggle,
Of sorrow, stress, and strife.
It's life in fullest measure,
The life for which we're born.
For those who have attained it,
We joy e'en while we mourn.

Come unto me, all ye that labor
and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
