O'er mountains, through valleys,
By sweet-singing streams,
In darkness where moonlight
Sheds silvery beams -
Each birthday reminds us
That God has been near,
To lovingly guide us
And care for us here.

CARD 2: God Bless you on Your Birthday
"Shew me thy ways, O LORD;
teach me thy paths.  Lead me in thy truth. Psalm 25:4, 5

Your birthday's but the dawning of
A new and untrod year;
May you reflect on days gone by
And see how God was near.
And as you face the future days,
Keep hope and faith in God;
He'll lead you step by step along
The path that you must trod.

Of a year before untrod,
And look onward toward the future,
Trusting every day to God.
