Salt Skip Baking Powder 385g


This is the baking powder we use at our place, along with our home-ground spelt flour. ----- 385g Jar: Free from cereals, gluten, sodium, and aluminium, and with more calcium than phosphorus. Mix 2-2 1/2level metric teaspoons for each cup of plain flour to make your own self-raising flour. I have found that dark spots appear on the top of cakes, etc, caused by small particles about 1mm in size. We don't generally bother about the spots - it all tastes good anyway. However, if you want a more perfect appearance for visitors or special occasions, most of these could be removed by sifting through a fine mesh tea strainer. The removed particles only form a small part of the powder and could even be discarded, or ground up separately in a mortar and pestle, and then returned to the mix.
